4. Collection of data on our website

Cookies

The website uses so-called cookies in several places. Cookies cause no damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer and which your browser stores.

Most of the cookies used by us are so-called “session cookies”. They are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies are stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

You can adjust the settings in your browser so that you are informed when cookies are placed and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, can accept cookies in specific cases or generally exclude cookies and activate the automatic deletion of cookies upon closure of the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be reduced.

Cookies which are necessary for electronic communication purposes or the provision of specific functions which you would like to use (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure that its services can be provided optimally free of technical errors. Insofar as other cookies are stored (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour), these are dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files which your browser automatically sends to us. The information collected and stored:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address
  • Data volume

This data will not be combined with other data sources. The access logs of the webservers log what pages have been accessed at what time. They include the following data:
IP, directory protection user, data, time, pages accessed, logs, status code, data volume, referrer, user agent, host name accessed.
The IP addresses are stored in anonymised form. For this purpose, the last three numbers are removed, i.e. 127.0.0.1 becomes 127.0.0.*. IPv6 addresses are also anonymised. Information on the directory protection user used is anonymised after one day.
Error logs, which log requests to view pages that do not exist, are deleted after seven days.
Accesses via FTP are logged in anonymised form and stored for 60 days.
The mail logs for e-mails sent from the web environment are anonymised after one day and then stored for 60 days. In the anonymisation, all data concerning the sender/recipient etc. is removed. Only the time the e-mail was sent and how the e-mail was processed remain (queue ID or not sent).
Mail logs for e-mails sent via our mail servers are deleted after four weeks. The longer retention time is necessary to ensure the functionality of the mail service and to combat spam.

The legal basis for the data processing is provided by Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b GDPR, which allows the processing of data for the performance of a contract or implementation of measures prior to entering into a contract and Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f GDPR, because the website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of log files to ensure that its services can be provided optimally free of technical errors.

If you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, the personal data sent by you will be stored automatically. Such personal data sent by you to us on a voluntary basis will be stored for the purpose of processing or contacting you. This personal data will not be disclosed to third parties. The data input into the contact form will be processed on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b GDPR, which allows the processing of data for the performance of a contract or implementation of measures prior to entering into a contract and Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f GDPR, because the website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of the data.

The data input in the registration is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter a GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time. An informal communication by e-mail will suffice for this purpose. The lawfulness of the data processing that has taken place will not be affected by the withdrawal.
The data collected in the registration will be stored by us so long as you are registered on our website and will then be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Disclosure of data at the time of conclusion of contract for online shops, dealers and shipment
We only disclose personal data to third parties when this is necessary in the execution of the contract, for example to the companies entrusted with the delivery of the goods or to the bank handling the payment. There will be no further disclosure of data unless you have given your express consent to the disclosure. Data will not be disclosed to third parties, for example for advertising purposes, without your express consent.
